The publisher Melville House has a book series called Last Interview, the entirety of which I purchased impulsively on Black Friday. To encourage myself to read through this series in a mindful way, I will post thoughts, reactions, and the supplemental readings I do related to each interviewee.
This project dovetails nicely with something I've been encouraged to do though my participation in the Women's Leadership Institute 2016/2017 cohort: Consider what leadership is, and explore various ways people are and can be leaders.
First up: Jane Jacobs, a public intellectual and activist I have long admired after reading some of her work in an undergraduate course in sustainable urban design. She's most famous for writing The Death and Life of Great American Cities.
